The Boston Weather Data Archive is a historical record of daily surface observations collected at Logan International Airport and its predecessor stations dating back to January 1, 1872. It covers temperature highs and lows, precipitation, snowfall, and snow depth — including daily streaks of these various weather events for over a century and a half.

All observations are sourced from the NOAA Regional Climate Centers via the Applied Climate Information System (ACIS) API. The primary station is GHCND:USW00014739 — Boston Logan International Airport — one of the longest continuous surface records in New England.
Temperature departure values are calculated against the 1991–2020 climate normals, the current 30-year baseline established by NOAA. The dataset is updated automatically each day.

Data source
Daily observations are sourced from NOAA's Global Historical Climatology Network Daily (GHCND) dataset, accessed via the Applied Climate Information System (ACIS) API. Station data is also available directly through weather.gov.
