π Monthly breakdown
Average value per calendar month (JanβDec), averaged across your chosen year range β shows the seasonal shape of a metric.
Example: Precipitation, 2000β2026 β which months are historically wettest, on average.
π Month, year-over-year
One data point per year for a single calendar month you pick, showing how that month alone has trended over time against its own historical average.
Example: Avg temp, January β has January been warming over the years?
π Period, year-over-year
Like Month YoY, but for a custom multi-month period (e.g. SepβNov) instead of one month β periods that cross a year boundary (e.g. DecβFeb) are supported and grouped into the winter they belong to.
Example: Snowfall, DecβFeb β how has total winter snowfall trended over the decades?
π Custom date range
Plots one specific date range you choose β month-by-month if it spans under 2 years, or year-by-year if longer.
Example: Precipitation, Jan 2020βDec 2021 β month-by-month rainfall across that specific stretch.
β Departure from normal
Each month's actual value minus its historical average for that calendar month β bars above zero ran warmer/wetter than normal, below zero ran colder/drier.
Example: Avg temp, last 12 months β how far above or below normal has each month been?
π Daily profile (year)
Every single day's value across one calendar year (optionally narrowed to one month) β the finest-grained view, day by day.
Example: Snow depth, 2015, full year β the day-by-day snow depth through that winter.
π’ Occurrence count
Counts how many days met a condition (above or below a threshold), then plots that count as one bar per year, or one bar per calendar month with all years in the range combined.
Example: High temp above 90Β°F, grouped by year, 2022β2026 β how many 90Β°+ days each year. Grouped by month instead shows which months typically have the most.
